Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative located in Kenton. Its mission is to provide safe, affordable, and reliable power to its members and communities. In 2016, Mid-Ohio Energy celebrated more than 80 years of local service.
The cooperative has two offices (with its headquarters in Kenton and a district office in Marion) and serves approximately 8,200 members across 1,330 miles of electric distribution line with territory in parts of 10 central-Ohio counties. A nine-member board of trustees governs the operation of the co-op. The board is democratically elected by the membership each year.
